East St. Louis District 189 utilizes NWEA MAP Growth assessments three times a year to monitor student growth, adjust instruction, and make projections. These computerized, adaptive tests are administered to students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade during the Fall, Winter, and Spring. All students are tested in Math and Reading; 3rd through 8th Grade students are also tested in Science.
