Operational Reports for NWEA Map Growth Assessments
The Operational Reports section of NWEA Map Growth Assessments is available to certain individuals with access to run data reports for their school. These roles are typically reserved for the Building Test Coordinator of a school.
Overview of Available Reports
The link below gives the summary from NWEA Map Growth for the various Operational Reports available in the system.
At the building level, Building Test Coordinators will use the first two reports to check testing progress.
Identifying Students Without a Valid Test
This report allows a school to quickly identify students without a valid test. A student's name will be on this report for the following reasons:
- The student completed a test but it was invalid (the reason will be identified in the report)
- The student started testing but it was suspended and needs to be completed
- The student has not yet started testing
NOTE: No students will show up on this report until at least one valid test has been completed for that grade level and subject during the current testing window..
Running the Students Without Valid Test Results
To run the Students Without Valid Test Results report, you will navigate to the TESTING PROGRESS REPORTS section of the OPERATIONAL REPORTS area. Follow the prompts to select the grade levels, subjects, and tests you would like to review.
NOTE: if you have students taking the Spanish version of the tests, it is recommended that you only run this report for the English-version and disregard the names of ELL students on this report.
Test Events by Status Report
The Test Events by Status report, will also be in the TESTING PROGRESS REPORTS section of the OPERATIONAL REPORTS area. Follow the prompts to select the grade levels, subjects, and tests you would like to review.
This report summarizes MAP Growth test events (rather than the number of individual students tested) by
school, grade, and subject within a specific date range for the current term so you can quickly see how your school is progressing through the test season and whether mandated testing is complete.
The following STATUS information is applied to each test event (a test event will only be identified by one of the status options below):
- VALID: test was completed during the testing window within the system's parameters for validity (time spent or standard error calculation normal).
- INVALID: test was completed in the date range but is considered invalid because the student went too quickly or had a high standard error calculation.
- SUSPENDED: test was temporarily stopped during the testing window; the student can resume and complete the test once they log back in.
- TERMINATED: the test was canceled by the teacher prior to completion. A student cannot return to this test and will have to start over.
